Matt Smith is an intimidating second row player, standing at a little over 2 meters he was spotted while attending Silcoates School and attended the Carnegie Academy. His studies took him to University of Wales Institute Cardiff (UWIC) where his rugby blossomed. Representing the UWIC in 3 finals at Twickenham he then put pen to paper with Cornish Pirates. He now plays for Yorkshire Carnegie intimidating his opponents with his size and powerful tackles.
