The Samoan loose forward is a rugby league convert, and has made a smooth transition back to his roots in the 15-man code. He joined Harlequins in 2010 from St Helens having played for England in 2008 Rugby League World Cup. He has played for Samoa in union, representing his country on either side of his league stint, in the 2003 and 2011 Rugby World Cups. He also played for Samoa in the 2012 Pacific Nations Cup. After 4 seasons at Harlequins, Fa'asavalu moved to France to join Oyonnax.
