Selected in the first round by Major League Rugby side Rugby ATL in the 2020 draft, Matarazzo captained the Notre Dame Fighting Irish where he was primarily seen as a ball-carrying eightman.
He was used at lock, and it was in the No4 shirt where he debuted against the New England Free Jacks in the final round of the regular season.
In September 2021, he joined Dallas Jackals.
