'We'll learn from this' | Meg Jones reacts to Canada defeat

Red Roses captain Meg Jones said the team would learn the lessons of their first defeat since 2022 after Canada earned a 24-21 win in Toronto.
The defeat was a first in 42 matches for John Mitchell's team, and Jones said the result would not derail the team.
"For us we just want to regroup now," said Jones.
"We want to make sure we get some feedback on the game like we always do and there’s probably some key moments that we didn’t execute on.
"But we’re only human, we’re only rugby players and we’ll definitely learn from this."

Jones praised Canada's performance at the end of another compelling encounter between the two teams.
"Credit to Canada, what an outstanding performance," said Jones.
"And what an amazing crowd they’ve brought as well, I've never seen so many red jerseys.
"Canada are physical, they’re direct and we probably just didn’t capitalise when we needed to."
With another clash with Canada to play next week, Jones said next weekend's clash in Ottawa was a chance to level the three-match series after a draw in Exeter last month.
"The series is open now and how amazing is that?" she added.
"Hopefully we can get the same amount of crowd in Ottowa and I’m looking forward to that Test match - and a Test match it is."
