“You know what, Michael Hooper grabbed my nuts just then” - Caleb Clarke

Caleb Clarke was in a destructive mood on his first test start for the All Blacks on Saturday as he put in a starring performance as New Zealand claimed a convincing 27-7 victory over the Wallabies.

The 21-year-old shone on attack making well over 100 running metres with some big moments that changed the game in New Zealand's favour.

With his carries causing all kinds of problems for the Australians, Clarke revealed after the game what Wallabies' captain Micheal Hooper had to do to bring him to ground.

Speaking to Sky Sport NZ after the game Clarke said:

“You know what, Michael Hooper grabbed my nuts just then,” Clarke chuckled, with replays backing up his claims.

“I was really sore. I was trying to push his hand off.

“But Pete [Gallagher], our physio, said, ‘just get him back’.

“So I tried to do it.”
