Ahead of the Maori All Black squad announcement we look at some of the stars that could line out against the Lions in Rotorua this month.
Damien McKenzie

Standing at 5'7 & just over 80kg, Damien MacKenzie is by no means the most physical player in New Zealand but the Chiefs man has been in impressive form this year with his electric pace & counter attacking. With 5 tries & a total of 95 points for the Chiefs this season McKenzie always contributes in a huge way.
Nehe Milner-Skudder
A star of the 2015 RWC alongside Julian Savea, Milner-Skudder has been unlucky through injury over the past year but made his return last weekend to Super Rugby. This terrifying run against the Rebels shows what the speedster is capable of doing to defences.
Rieko Ioane
The 20 year old caused the Lions defence plenty of trouble this morning & could be a bolter for the All Blacks squad nevermind the Maori All Blacks based on his form for the Blues this season.
Liam Messam

The 33 year old blindside flanker has also had an injury ridden year but his experience with the All Blacks since 2009 is enough to make him a worthy enough pick for the Maoris to add some leadership to the line up.
James Lowe
Leinster bound Lowe has had flashes of brilliance this year for the Chiefs, an dangerous finisher to add to the ranks of skillful Maori backs.
Iahia West
Ihaia West probably had one of his best moments of his career this morning scoring to finish off the Lions at Eden Park. The outhalf knows how to operate his backline but has bundles of pace to back himself in attack also.
