A Petition Has Been Started To Get The Honey Badger In The Commentary Box For Super Rugby AU

With Super Rugby set to return to Australia on 3 July and the return of the Western Force, a petition has been started to get Nick 'The Honey Badger' Cummins into the commentary box.

The former Wallaby winger has become somewhat of a cult hero around the rugby world for his catchphrases and quirky remarks in post-match interviews.

Cummins has been retired for some time now despite turning out for the Force last year in the Showcase Global Rapid Rugby match against a World XV but has featured in television shows such as The Bachelor.

However, fans are keen to see the Honey Badger back in rugby but in a different role with Australian Rugby Fan, Mark Halpin starting a petition to get the former Wallaby in the commentary box for Super Rugby AU.

In his reasoning on change.org Halpin wrote: " As most Rugby Union fans know, the quality of the commentators can have a huge impact on how much the fans enjoy the game.

Nick "Honey Badger" Cummins was not just a great player, but he is largely seen as one of the funniest men to ever grace our screens in the form of post match interviews.

I feel I speak for all fans when I say that the Badge would be a welcome addition to all of our viewing experiences."
