Best equals Wood's record as he captains Ireland for the 36th time

Ireland start with 10 of the same players that were in the starting XV against Scotland in their opening match of Rugby World Cup 2019.

Keith Earls, Garry Ringrose, Healy and Jack Conan also were in the Starting XV versus Japan in the Shizuoka Stadium in 2017. Ireland won 50-22.

The front row (Cian Healy, Rory Best and Tadhg Furlong) will start together for the 15th time, the most for a front row since the start of the last World Cup, along with Poirot, Guirado and Slimani (France).
