Carter confirms he won’t attend France’s RWC bid

All Blacks legend Dan Carter has confirmed he won't be in London to support France's World Cup bid presentation next week.

France hoped to make the most of Carter's star power as they look to make final oral pitches to World Rugby on Monday, with the former All Black currently plying his trade for Paris-based club Racing 92.

France, South Africa and Ireland have all made compelling bids to host the 2023 World Cup, with the final decision to be made on 15 November.

In a blow for the French Rugby Federation, though, Carter confirmed on Twitter that he would not be attending Monday's presentation, although he still implied that he hoped to see the event hosted in France:
