Champions Cup: Wasps v Leinster
The Ricoh Arena saw an epic Champions Cup battle as Wasps hosted Leinster in a game providing many different approaches to the quarter finals. Both sides needed a win to automatically qualify but a loss for Wasps and they would be out. The home side succumbed to the pressure of the Champions Cup in the opening first half by falling behind by 14 points at half time as well as losing Ashley Johnson to a yellow card in the opening seconds.
Leinster let Wasps back into the game in the second half allowing their huge loose trio to gain some ascendancy. The game finishes in a 20 all draw and Wasps had to sweat out the next few games elsewhere to see if the qualify for the knock outs.
