Determined Biggar helps Saints to victory despite limping in the latter stages

Dan Biggar helped Northampton Saints to an 18-22 victory over rivals Leicester Tigers at Welford Road on Saturday.
Biggar suffered a leg injury while tackling Nemani Nadolo in the latter stages of the game. The Welsh pivot spent some time of the ground receiving attention before two medics were going to help him off the pitch.

However, Biggar realised that Chris Boyd had used up all of the Northampton substitutes and had he left the pitch, his side would have to finish the game with 13 men as JJ Tonks was in the sin bin.
The 31-year-old managed to hobble back into position and continue playing despite wincing with just about every step he took. He went on to make another crucial tackle on Nadolo after injuring himself before Saints won a crucial turnover.
He also made a potential try-saving tackle on Jasper Wiese who went charging past the injured pivot, yet Biggar managed to tap tackle the back-rower.

Biggar was named man of the match for his efforts but it was far from the final 6 minutes of the game that earn him the award.
Once again, Biggar made a huge impact on the attack as well as his kicking game was sharp. He outplayed George Ford on the night.
Saints took the lead after ten minutes with in form second rower David Ribbans forcing his way over the line after Dan Biggar and Piers Francis had both been twice held up short.
The Tigers used a penalty to set up a rolling maul ten metres out but after that didn't work, George Ford took the three points.
