England Women announce National Academy and U20 squads

England Women have announced a 23-player squad for their two National Academy fixtures this November.

The development side will face a USA Women’s Selects team at Newbury RFC on Tuesday 13 November (KO 7.30pm) and Canada Women A at Cobham RFC on Wednesday 21 November (KO 7.30pm).

Of the 23 players named, six have represented the Red Roses and four have recently toured with England Women U20.

The squad will train separately to the Red Roses, who play the three-Test Quilter Internationals through November, coached and managed by a combination of senior England Women and England Women U20 coaches.

New names to the squad include: Iona Antwis, Teya Ashworth, Shauna Bennett, Charlie Budge, Carys Cox, Megan Davey, Merryn Doidge, Bryony Field, Ebony Jefferies, Florence Long, Jodie Mallard, Laura Perrin, Ellen Ramsbottom, Anya Richmond, Emma Sing, Lucie Skuse, Jessica Thomas, Megan Varley and Louisa Ward.

The U20s will play three fixtures this season, against the Army and then home and away to France (details TBC).
