France release 14 players ahead of Irish test

France head coach Fabien Galthie has rejoined the squad ahead of the round two Six Nations clash against Ireland this weekend.

Ahead of the test at the Stade de France, Galthie has released 14 players back to their squads - as per an agreement with the clubs and the FFR.

Bordeaux flyhalf Matthieu Jalibert is still struggling with an injury and will miss the clash against Andy Farrell's Ireland - see how we think Ireland will line up here.

Four back-rowers have been released from the wider squad with Ibrahim Diallo and Yoan Tanga returning to Racing 92 while Sekou Macalou and Paul Boudehent returning to Stade Francais and La Rochelle respectively.

Second rowers Thomas Lavault and Bernard Le Roux return to La Rochelle and Racing 92 respectively with prop Dany Priso joining Lavault.

Romain Ntamack and Thomas Ramos will cover the flyhalf roles for France with both Leo Berdue (Lyon) and Antoine Hastoy (Pau) released from the squad.

Wingers Matthis Lebel (Toulouse) and Donovan Taofifenua (Racing 92) have also been deemed surplus to requirements while centre Tani Vili returns to Clermont.
