Graham to re-apply for Reds role

Graham to re-apply for Reds role
Reds head coach Richard Graham will have to re-apply for his head coaching role with the Super Rugby franchise after a full evaluation of the team’s performance in 2015.

The 2011 champions suffered 12 defeats from their 16 games in this year’s competition, prompting suggestions that Graham would be sacked.

"(We) will call for any final expressions of interest in the roles of head coach and attack and defence coach with a view to finalising those appointments early next month,” said the Queensland Rugby Union (QRU) in a statement.

"Current Reds head coach, Richard Graham, will be included in that process.”

2016 looks set to be an even trickier season for the Reds with so many departures, including Will Genia, Adam Thomson, James Horwill and Quade Cooper.

Graham was assisted by former Australia boss John Connolly towards the end of the season when the Reds form noticeably improved.
