Greg Cooper to leave Stade Francais

Stade Francais coach and former All Black Greg Cooper is leaving his post of head coach to be with his sick daughter.

The Paris club issued a statement confirming Cooper will finish following the Top 14 game against Pau on January 27.

It comes midway through his first season of a two-year head coaching contract after succeeding former Argentina international Gonzalo Queseda.

The youngest of Cooper's three children is scheduled to undergo an operation on a long-standing health condition.

Club president Hubert Patricot said Cooper left with his blessing.

"His integrity, his human and sports qualities were appreciated by all. We wish him the best for the future, both professionally and personally," he said.
