Guy Novès to take France job as Sir Clive Woodward misses out

Sir Clive Woodward has missed out on the France head coaching job, after it
was revealed that Guy Novès, the Toulouse coach, will take over after the
World Cup.
Woodward, who memorably led England to their sole World Cup victory in
Australia in 2003 before resigning a year later due to a worsening
relationship with the Rugby Football Union (RFU), was believed to be among
the front-runners for the post soon to be vacated by Philippe Saint-André.
Novès, 61, has agreed to a four-year contract, according to the French Rugby
Federation (FFR).
