Half-time pep talk turned things around for Romania
Romania boss Lynn Howells revealed that his half-time pep talk helped the Oaks turn their fortunes around to defeat Canada in Leicester.
It was an impressive turnaround from Romania having trailed 15-0 at one-point at the start of the second half.
“Pull your socks up,” Howells told his side at half-time
“We came in with a gameplan, we knew what we had to do against Canada.
"We had to stop the quick ball and I think we became more effective at that in the second half.
“Also, I think Canada made more mistakes and it allowed us to get the scrum game going, the driving game going.
"That really changed the game.”
