The Hurricanes strengthened their hold on the top spot on both the overall log and the New Zealand conference when a second half surge enabled them to recover from a difficult first half and score a comprehensive 36-12 win over the Rebels in a Vodacom Super Rugby match at the Westpac Stadium on Friday.
It was the sixth consecutive win for the Hurricanes who are coached by the former Sharks duo of Chris Boyd and John Plumtree, and that represents their best ever start in Super Rugby.
