Ireland come through Scotland clash unscathed
Ireland’s medical staff have reported no major injuries following Saturday’s win over Scotland in Dublin.

That news is very welcome considering the aftermath of their warm-up against Wales, when Tommy O’Donnell was diagnosed with a dislocated hip that has consequently ruled him out of the Rugby World Cup.

The Irish squad have now been released before reassembling on August 23 ahead of the final two warm-up matches.

Ireland face Wales at home before heading over to Twickenham to take on England at Twickenham on September 5.

Tighthead prop Mike Ross was the only player to play in both warm-up matches against Wales and Scotland, while flanker Jack Conan against the Scots.

The Six Nations champions are still ranked second in the World Rankings following the weekend’s results.
