Israel Folau's one-match ban has been upheld

Israel Folau has lost his appeal against a one-match ban for making dangerous contact in the air with Ireland skipper Peter O’Mahony and will miss the Waratahs’ Super Rugby clash with the Melbourne Rebels on Friday night, confirms foxsports.

Folau was issued with a yellow card a Citing Commissioner Warning for two separate incidents involving contact in the air in the match between Australia and Ireland in Sydney on 23 June.

He immediately appealed, but that was dismissed by a separate panel on Thursday night.
