Lawes Voted Premiership Player of the Month

England and Northampton Saints forward Courtney Lawes has been named as the Premiership Player of the Month for September.

The 58-times capped veteran has been in outstanding form for Jim Mallinder's side so far this season, after an opening day mauling to the hands of Saracens, the Saints have bounced back in fine style to record four wins on the bounce.

“Lawes has been unbelievable for Northampton Saints this season,” former England centre Will Greenwood told englandrugby.com.

“His ball-carrying has improved exponentially, he has great footwork and softer hands.

“He might well be England’s most improved player, and is certainly critical to Northampton playing well.”

Lawes took home the trophy and was given a £250 donation to the charity of his choice.
