Lima Sopoaga set to start for Wasps against Exeter Chiefs

The 2015 Super Rugby winner is set to make his debut against Exeter Chiefs this weekend. Lima Sopoaga, 27, has represented the NZ U20 side as well as the All Blacks scoring over 60 international points in his 18 appearances.

Wasps could not have hoped for a better time to have the star as they prepare for a season without Danny Cipriani who has moved to Gloucester, Jimmy Gopporth (Injury) and Willie le Roux (International Duty).

Wasps are running low on experience to cover the 10 jumper with Rob Miller filling in at 15 while Billy Searle, just 22 years old, started at 10 in their narrow 1 point opening day win over Worcester Warriors.

Sopoaga will fit comfortably into the Wasps style as he and Cipriani both play an exciting heads up game with an accurate kick out of hand.
