According to a report by the Sunday Morning Herald in Australia Sean McMahon is keen to return to Australia ahead of the 2019 Super Rugby season.
The Japanese Top League will go on hiatus for the whole of 2019 due to the Rugby World Cup and the Wallabies as well as an Australian Super Rugby franchise could benefit greatly from the reshuffle.
The report suggests that a number of players could return to Australia with the Suntory signing likely to sign with the Reds.
The Brisbane-born breakaway welcomed his first child this year and it is understood the McMahons are keen to return home.
A move to the Rebels is not completely off as the Reds already have a number of quality back-rowers in their squad.
