Dominant in the tight and made himself known at the breakdown with a series of huge clear outs. 

Guilhem Guirado - 6

Performed his core duties to a very high standard and made the hit of the match crunching Peter Horne. Completed 17 tackles, a massive effort.

Demba Bamba - 7


He is transferring his U20 World Cup winning form to Test level with ease. Caused Allan Dell major problems at scrum time and his work in the loose is 

exceptional.


Sebastien Vahaamahyina - 7

Huge defensive shift and caused Scotland plenty of problems at the set pieces.

Felix Lambey - 8

The Lyon lock deserves to become a mainstay in the French engine room. 14 tackles and 9 carries and a couple of highlight reel offloads thrown in.

Wenceslas Lauret - 7

Tackling machine, the Racing 92 man made 23 tackles and regularly got himself over the advantage line for his country.

Arthur Iturria - 6

Did a lot of unseen work around the park, was very effective at slowing down Scotland ball and made 20 tackles on the evening. 

Louis Picamoles - 8

Classy effort from Le Roi has maintained his high standards throughout this tournament. Made a clean break and beat a defender to go with his defensive duty.

Antoine Dupont - 9

He brought excitement to the French crowd every time he got himself on the ball. Was a threat around the fringes and made a few darts up the pitch to set the French attack up to score.

Romain N’ tamack - 9

Got the opening try of the match and was unlucky to have a magical assist ruled out after. Switched up his game well and relieved pressure with his lengthy boot.

Yoann Huget - 7

Few massive hits on defense and came alive on the counter attack for the French.

Gael Fickou - 8

Back playing in his preferred position in misfield, Fickou linked up well with Bastareaud and used his large frame to get himself over the gainline.

Mathieu Bastareaud - 7

Beat five defenders, threw three offloads and played a huge role in the third French try. Back to his best. 

Damian Penaud - 8 

Dangerous runner every time he received the ball in open play. Made 45 metres in attack and looked likely to score at any stage.

Thomas Ramos - 8

Made a few clean breaks and was reliable in the air. He beat five defenders and also provided a try assist. Another player who deserves to start every Test at full-back.

Allan Dell - 5

Was on the receiving end of some punishment from Demba Bamba at scrum time conceding two penalties.

Stuart McInally - 7

Lineouts was very accurate hitting all nine of his jumpers. Energetic performance with 8 carries and 10 forceful tackles on defence.

Simon Berghan - 6

Did well to anchor a shaky Scotland scrum but still managed 100% success while on the pitch and was busy in the loose. 

Grant Gilchrist - 6

Not his best performance but kept working hard until the end. Has made over 50 tackles in the tournament and never shirks his defensive efforts.

Jonny Gray - 6

Always make the hard yards when carrying and again double figures for tackles, excellent 55 minute shift.

Magnus Bradbury - 6

Made a couple of big carries early on then his influence on the game faded out. Still pitched in with 15 tackles on the evening.

Jamie Ritchie - 7

13 tackles and 12 carries has really impressed over the first three games in the tournament.

Josh Strauss - 6

Cleaned out rucks with great intensity and seemed to get over the advantage line with every carry, using his size to bully French defenders.  

Greig Laidlaw - 6

Solid performance from the Top 14 player as he became Scotland second highest points scorer of all time.

Peter Horne - 6

Took the ball to the line and looked to send running through gaps but was often met with a crunching tackle. He beat three defenders, made a clean break and provided a try assist.

Sean Maitland - 6

Gained 48 metres in attack, beat three defenders and was close to touching down on a few occasions but the French defence got the better of him.

Sam Johnson - 6

Busy on both sides of the ball, made 7 carries and four tackles. Combined well with Grigg in midfield.

Nick Grigg - 6

Made all his tackles and carried hard until

the final whistle. He was efficient on both sides of the ball and won three turnovers for his side.

Tommy Seymour -6

Made 67 metres in attack but struggled to make his mark in the French half.  

Blair Kinghorn - 7

Caught out of position a few times in the backfield but was busy in attack and looked threatening with ball in hand.
