Premiership Highlights: Newcastle 17-6 Worcester

A precious 4 points over fellow league strugglers Worcester denying the Warriors a losing bonus point. The Falcons were quickest out the blocks with Zach Kibirige creating something out of nothing in the 6th minute to ghost through the Worcester defence and score under the sticks. Duncan Weir and Toby Flood traded penalties with Weir adding another before Flood found a gap in the Worcester defence to score his side's second try of the game as Falcons took a 17-6 lead into the break. The conditions at Kingston Park worsened in the second half with both attacks struggling to get going which resulted in a scoreless second half. The result sees Falcons gain 4 points on Worcester and close the gap between the two sides to just 5 points on the overall log. The Falcons head to the Ricoh Arena next to face Wasps while Worcester welcome the Premiership leaders, Exeter Chiefs, to Sixways.
