Quade Cooper pulls out of Wallaby touring squad

Wallaby flyhalf Quade Cooper has removed himself from Australia’s upcoming tour to the UK, citing a need for bodily rest as his reason.

Cooper is due to commence pre-season training with Japanese side  Kintetsu Liners and has thus made the decision not to participate in Australia’s forthcoming Tests in the Autumn Nations Series.

Dave Rennie (right) is unlikely to have Quade Cooper for the Wallabies tour of the Northern Hemisphere.

The Wallabies are due to play Scotland and England on the 7th and 13th of November respectively.

The 32 year-old Cooper’s withdrawal is a significant blow for head coach Dave Rennie as the former is the third big name to have dropped out of the tour Samu Kerevi and Sean McMahon elected to rather stay in Japan – a decision which Rugby Australia Chief Executive Andy Marinos called “hugely disappointing”.
