Reinach Steals the Spotlight as Saints down the Warriors
- 984
The Northampton Saints climbed the Premiership table with a convincing win over the Worcester Warriors in tonight's only Premiership Rugby clash.
Here are our Top Performers from the clash:
Gerrit-Jan van Velze - Worcester Warriors
Fresh off of signing a new deal with the club, van Velze led the defence from the front - as he often does.
The powerful South African no.8 finished the game with a match-high of 21 tackles, failing to miss a single one!
His efforts, however, were in vain as the Saints ran in two tries and capitalised on the Warriors poor discipline to secure the win.
Cobus Reinach - Northampton Saints
An outstanding performance by the Springbok halfback, who was named man of the match on the night.
His service to Welsh flyhalf Dan Biggar was superb throughout the game and he scored a ridiculous try from inside his own half.
Lung-busting run from the 'immense' Cobus Reinach 🙌

"He's blowing a little bit but his work rate has been absolutely exceptional!" 👏

He also made a crucial try-saving tackle and made a handy 128 running metres.
Dan Biggar - Northampton Saints
Biggar's 100% kicking success from the tee tonight kept Worcester Warriors under the pump and the scoreboard ticking over.
He managed the game superbly and worked well in tandem with Reinach throughout the game.
Courtney Lawes - Northampton Saints
Another hard-hitting display by the England forward. He was excellent in both attack and defence and got stuck into the rucks.
His ball carries kept his side on the front foot and he fully embraced the physical nature of the clash.
