Relive Gloucester's extra time win in the 2006 Challenge Cup final
With Gloucester returning to Twickenham Stoop this weekend they will have fond memories of their win in 2006 which was a highly entertaining game of Rugby. When they met London Irish in the Challenge Cup final there was nothing to separate the sides after 80 minutes of Rugby with the game finishing 31-31. When Barry Everitt put London Irish in front in the first half of extra-time Gloucester needed a score to get back in the game and they were inspired by James Forrester with the number 8 producing a moment of brilliance grubber kicking ahead and getting to the ball first to secure the win for his side. Everitt had the opportunity to put his side back in front but his penalty sailed wide and as a result Gloucester won the Challenge Cup. They take on Edinburgh on Friday night where they will be hoping for the same outcome.
