After the Cell C Sharks struggled to overcome the Western Force recently, director of rugby Gary Gold was heard to mutter over a drink later that evening “We just need big Willem back, that’s what we need”.


At the time Gold wasn’t sure how long Willem Alberts would be out for as the hamstring injury that has been troubling him is one of those that sticks around and just when it appears to be healed, there is a setback.
