Six Nations Highlights: Italy v Wales

A tight encounter failed to inspire today at Stadio Olimpico. The opening period was dominated by the visitors, as Biggar kicked 4 penalties to give them an early lead. Italy fought back in the final 10 minutes of the first half to leave the scores 12-7 at the break, after a try from the fantastic Braam Steyn. The flanker was probably the Azzurri's best player on the day. Tommasso Allan kicked another penalty in the 2nd period to bring Italy within a score of the visitors but when Josh Adams went over for a try soon after, it killed the game as a contest. Italy fought to the end but couldn't prevent Owen Watkin topping off the win for the welsh. They did get a consolation score through Eduardo Padovani but it wasn't enough to prevent them form setting a new record with their 19th loss in a row in the Championship. Wales, in contrast, set their own record for games won in a row, with this win.
