Top 14 Highlights: Pau v Stade Francais

Stade Francais continued their impressive start to the Top 14 season with a 25-13 away win over Pau in round 5. Stade Francais ran in the only three tries of a dominant first half, with both sides kicking a penalty as the visitors took a comfortable 22-3 lead into the break. Pau got of to the perfect start in the second half, with an early try making it 22-8. Stade Francais extended their advantage to 17 points with a penalty heading into the final quarter, but Pau hit back with a second try to make it a 12 point ball game. Stade Francais then picked up a yellow card with a little over ten minutes to play, but Pau were unable to capitalize as the visitors moved up to second position in the standings for the time being.
