Top Performers - South Africa v All Blacks

The Springboks claimed their first win in New Zealand since 2009 in what could be described as the best test match of 2018.

We take a look at the top performers from the clash:

Aphiwe Dyantyi - Springboks

The Springbok flyer did brilliantly to score two tries against the All Blacks.

He received a poor pass by Willie Le Roux and beat the last defender to score his first before he left Beauden Barrett trailing with a superb step to score his second.

Dyantyi also made a number of key cover tackles as the All Blacks looked to reclaim the lead.

Handre Pollard - Springboks

The Springbok flyhalf was under pressure to perform following an under-par performance against Argentina in round two.

Pollard controlled the game brilliantly and got the Springboks out of a number of testing situations with some good clearance.

He also combined well with Elton Jantjies when the Jantjies replaced Damian de Allende.

Pieter-Steph du Toit - Springbok

The Springboks were forced to make 193 tackles in this match with their busy blindside flanker making a massive 28 of those!

He also made 20 metres from his 5 carries getting the Springbok pack on the front foot.

Rieko Ioane - All Blacks

The 21-year-old winger continued his fantastic start in the All Black jersey scoring two tries.

He topped the running metres in the match, making 89 metres beating 6 defenders and made 3 clean breaks.

Warren Whiteley - Springboks

The Springbok no.8 has come under some scrutiny over the past few weeks but stepped up to the plate at key times for the Springboks.

He made a number of try-saving tackles for the Springboks and finished the match with 17 tackles, without missing one.

He also took over the captaincy in the dying minutes of the game and lead the Springboks to a fantastic victory.
