Tuesday Morning Round Up
Nic Groom to join Northampton Saints next season

The Stormers scrum half recently attained his 50th Super Rugby cap for the side and is also a double Currie Cup winner.

“Leaving Cape Town and the DHL Stormers is going to be tough and a big change, but I'm looking forward to embracing new experiences both on and off the field. I have many happy memories playing in Cape Town; it's where it all started for me.

“I'm extremely excited to be joining up with Northampton next season,” Groom said. “It's a top club with a proud history and personally it's a big honour to sign with them. I'm hoping to continue growing as a player and as a person and to contribute to what will hopefully be a very successful period at the club."

Gareth Owen and Tom Williams re-sign with Scarlets

Owen has featured in 21 Scarlets games this season and has previously represented Wales 7's, U19s and U20s.

Williams joined the side on loan from Cardiff Blues ahead of the 2015/2016 season and has impressed Scarlets management enough to earn a two-year contract extention.
