Tuilagi to become highest paid English player?
Reports yesterday stated that Worcester Warriors are putting together a £1.6 million package for England and British Lions centre Manu Tuilagi,.
The 24-year-old is currently sidelined with a long-term groin injury and is out of contract at Leicester Tigers at the end of the season. The signings of Jean DeVilliers & Matt Toomua has lead to questions being asked about Tuilagi's future role in the Tigers' side.
The talent that is Manu Tuilagi would surely be too big to lose, with Leicester already stating he has an offer on the table to make him the highest paid player in England.
If Tuilagi does opt for a move to Worcester would pick up £750,000 next season at Sixways and £450,000 for each of the following two campaigns.
Coventry-based Wasps and Championship outfit Bristol are also believed to be interested in signing Tuilagi.
