Vote for your #URTOTY Front Row

The #URTOTY nominations have been released for 2016. Today we take a look at the front-row. With some difficult omissions along the way, we have drawn up a shortlist.

Loosehead

Jack McGrath (Ireland) - The 36 times capped Irish loosehead, had a remarkable breakout year, as the Irish scrum took a massive step forward - enjoying wins over NZ & Australia.

Mako Vunipola (England) - Tireless work-rate and ball-handling skills have caught the eye this year. He performed well at his core duties but his ball carrying is where he has blossomed.

Joe Moody (New Zealand) - The dynamic Crusaders prop played with a strong physical edge to his game, he stood out in defence and with ball in hand and hasn't looked backed since securing a starting berth in the All Blacks side.

Hooker

Rory Best (Ireland) - The Irish captain was heroic in leading Ireland to a very successful campaign. His base game and his set-piece work have been outstanding.

Dane Coles (New Zealand) - Widely regarded as the best hooker in the world. Coles is arguably the most technically gifted front row in the game. His open play has been very exciting all year.

Dylan Hartley (England) - The English captain has led his side to 14 wins in a row, a very consistent performer who will compete for Lions captaincy next summer.

Tighthead

Tadhg Furlong (Ireland) - A meteoric rise to the top for the Irishman. He has put himself firmly in the Lions picture for his efforts during the Autumn Series.

Sekope Kepu (Australia) - Standout performer for the Wallabies throughout the calendar year. A constant threat from open play, Kepu's all round game has been very impressive all year.

Owen Franks (New Zealand) - The most dominant scrummaging tight-head in world rugby. Franks added enough to his all-round game to become a deserved selection.
