Standing 203cm and weighing a mammoth 145 kilograms, Meafou joined Toulouse from Australian side the NSW Country Eagles in 2019.

He started his sporting career playing rugby league in Ipswich and Brisbane. He was part of the Melbourne Rebels academy but was never offered a full-time contract.

He was tried his arm in the NFL after he was one of five athletes picked as part of the NFL's International Player Pathway program as a potential defensive lineman.

But his first love was rugby and he walked away from potentially millions to join Toulouse in 2019.
