What Lies Ahead For Naholo

Highlanders flyer Waisake Naholo is dreaming of a call-up to play for the All Blacks following his stunning breakthrough season in Super Rugby this year.
Naholo had signed a pre-contract with Clermont to move to the Top 14 giants later this year, but that move now appears to be off given the 24-year-old’s blistering form that has made him the form winger in Super Rugby so far in 2015.
With experience for New Zealand U20s and having been on the Sevens circuit, including the 2013 Sevens World Cup, Naholo first earned a Super Rugby contract with the Blues in 2013. But just as was the case with his team-mate Malakai Fekitoa, now an All Black, it has only been since his switch to Dunedin that Naholo has really shown what he can do.
The top try scorer in Super Rugby this year so far with eight, Naholo is welcoming any speculation that he might be called up by New Zealand head coach Steve Hansen.
"When people say those kinds of things it gets me excited, but it is not easy to make the All Blacks,” Naholo told the Southland Times.
"You have to play well every game and do what I do well. I do get excited though when I get mentioned, because if I made the All Blacks it would be very good."
"I would love to stay in New Zealand, but things need to get confirmed."
