Patrick Tuipulotu

23rd Jan 1993 1.98m/125kg No 5 Lock

Tuipulotu is a young exciting lock who earned a call up to the All Blacks after a successful campaign with the Blues and the Under 20 All Blacks. A physical lock, who made his debut for the All Blacks against England in June 2014, has good aerial skills and is definitely one to look out for in the future.

Tuipulotu was ruled out of the 2015 RWC squad after opting for surgery on a developmental defect with his hips. His performance since returning from recovery has been impressive and fans will look forward to seeing him push his own boundaries in the 2016 Super Rugby season. So impressive was his return to form he earned a recall to the All Black squad ahead of the June Tests.

Ahead of Super Rugby 2018, Tuipulotu has made 43 appearances for the Blues scoring 7 tries. The former NZ Schools and NZ U20 rep played only eight times in 2017, but with a full off-season off the back of the All Blacks Northern Tour, can expect to be a major force in 2018.
