Stewart was awarded a core playing squad contract for the 2016 season after being elevated from the supplementary squad. A strongly-built hard running centre, Stewart turned heads with his particularly impressive form in the Shute Shield and the Buildcorp NRC.

Stewart has been a regular in the Sydney University first grade team since the age of 19. He’s had two very successful NRC campaigns with the Sydney Stars, as one of the competition’s top try scorers in its inaugural year, before backing up to start in every game during the 2015 season.

Born and bred on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Stewart was a schoolboy rugby superstar, completing pathways at the Scots College where he played for the first fifteen for three years straight. As a prominent member of the side, Stewart also represented GPS and the NSW Schools team.

Recognising his ability, Stewart was named in the Australian Schoolboys in 2011 and 2012 when the team won a thrilling match against the New Zealand Schools in Auckland. He also represented his country at the Junior World Championships with the Australian Under 20s in 2014.
