Scott Barrett

Scott attended Francis Douglas Memorial College, which as well as producing brother Beauden, was the alma mater of All Blacks midfield legend Conrad Smith.

Having professional rugby playing brothers, Barrett got his big break in June 2014, when he was named in a Crusaders side and played a midweek match against the touring England national team.

Injuries to international second-row forwards Sam Whitelock and Luke Romano saw Barrett named on the replacements bench for the match against the Blues on 5 July 2014. He came on as a replacement for Jimmy Tupou in a 21-13 win for his side.

Barrett made his international debut for the All Blacks in 2016 against Ireland in Chicago.

It was announced in May 2016 that Barrett has extended his contract with the Crusaders for another two years.

Ahead of the 2017 Super Rugby season, Barrett has made 22 appearances for the Crusaders scoring 3 tries.

In June 2017, the four-times capped lock, was named in the All Blacks squad for the DHL NZ Lions Series.

I May the man nicknamed Scooter signed a new deal with the Crusaders and New Zealand Rugby until the end of 2020.

Barrett took his Super Rugby cap tally to 52 scoring 7 tries as he helped the Crusaders lift the title for the second year in row.

He enters the 2018 Rugby Championship with 19 test caps.
