S'busiso Romeo Nkosi, known as Sbu Nkosi, is a talented South African rugby union player who plays as a winger. Born on 21 January 1996 in Barberton, South Africa, Nkosi stands at 1.81 meters tall and weighs 97 kilograms.

Nkosi's rugby journey began when he was selected for the Pumas U16 Grant Khomo side, giving him his first taste of provincial rugby. He later moved to Johannesburg and attended Jeppe Boys High School, where his skills on the rugby field started to shine.

After completing high school, Nkosi relocated to Durban to join the Sharks. In 2015, he made eleven starts for the Sharks U19 team, showcasing his potential and abilities. The following year, Nkosi played for the UKZN Impi in the Varsity Shield competition, making six appearances and leaving a mark with his try-scoring ability.

In March 2016, Nkosi was selected for the South Africa Under-20 squad for the World Rugby Under 20 Championship. He started in the opening three matches but unfortunately suffered a thigh injury that ruled him out for the rest of the competition.

Nkosi's debut for the Sharks came in the 2016 season, and he continued to make an impact on the field. He had a successful Super Rugby season and went on to score eight tries in the Currie Cup. Despite missing out on selection for the national team due to injury, his performances were highly regarded.

In 2018, Nkosi made his test debut for the Springboks against England at Ellis Park, where he scored a brace of tries. He was named "Newcomer of the Year" at the Kwazulu Natal Sports Awards in September 2018, highlighting his rapid rise in the rugby world.

Although he faced injury setbacks, Nkosi's impressive performances in Super Rugby earned him a place in the Springboks' Rugby Championship squad in 2019. He represented the Springboks six times before being included in the Rugby World Cup squad, where he played a crucial role in the quarter-final victory over Wales.

Nkosi's talents were recognized once again when he was included in the 46-man Springbok squad to face the British & Irish Lions in the highly anticipated 2021 series. He also played for the South Africa A team, contributing to their 17-13 victory over the British & Irish Lions in a warm-up match before the test series.

With his speed, try-scoring ability, and solid performances, Sbu Nkosi has proven himself as a valuable asset on the field. As he continues his rugby career with the Bulls and the Blue Bulls, he is poised to make further contributions at both the domestic and international levels.
