Tom Carter

25th Feb 1983 1.89m/103kg Outside Centre

Carter played his first game for his state as a 21-year-old against Salta in Argentina back in 2004 – making his debut alongside current HSBC Waratah teammate Benn Robinson. However ongoing injury problems then stalled his promising career until 2008, when he made his Super Rugby debut on the wing against the Hurricanes in Sydney. In the opening match of the 2011 season Carter became just the 49th player in NSW Rugby history to earn 50 State Caps. Later that year, he scored a rare hat trick against the Highlanders and led the HSBC Waratahs’ season try scorers alongside Drew Mitchell, crossing six times. In 2012, Tom added a further 14 caps to his impressive tally, starting eight times and crossing the line on four occasions.
