She started playing when she was 20 years old in A Coruña’s University. later becoming CRAT A
Coruña. She has also played in Blagnac and currently in Stade Rennais.
After failing to qualify for the 2021 World Cup in Ireland in Parma, Monica hung up her boots. A serious
knee injury also kept her away from the team, but in 2024 she returned with the same enthusiasm as
always.
She’s a teacher and sports educator, and loves travelling
and reading.
