Feury returns for Leicester Tigers Women

Tess Feury returns to captain the side for the final game of the year at Mattioli Woods Welford Road as she replaces Kristin Bitter at full back.

Bitter moves to her most common position of flyhalf as Abileigh Priestnall moves to a finisher role.

Elsewhere in the backline, Zoe Evans comes in for Charlotte Daley, whilst a Tigers debut beckons for Eve Slater. 

The back-three player recently signed a contract with the club to become the first player to graduate from the Tigers Women’s u23 programme.

In the forwards there are three changes. Ellie Smith rotates back into the front row for Lauren Poole, while Clogagh Dunne and Hermione Farmer replace Nadine Vincent and Morgan Richardson respectively.

Fraser Goatcher - “We’ve made a couple of changes to the side as we freshen things up ahead of the challenge of facing Gloucester-Hartpury at home.”

“We were disappointed with how things went last week against Trailfinders but that is in the past and we’re determined to put a better foot forward this weekend.”

Not only is this the last game at Mattioli Woods Welford Road this year, but there is also a special guest at the match. 

The Women’s Rugby World Cup trophy will be in the Tradeview Stand before kick-off for fans to have their picture taken with.
