Leeds-born Tye Raymont started playing rugby at his local club, West Park Leeds, at
the age of four, staying there until he was 16 alongside teammate Ben Redshaw.
He went to Prince Henry's Grammar School from year seven to year 11 before leaving
to go to Bishop Burton Rugby College, where he stayed until the age of 18, combining
his studies with rugby at Yorkshire Academy.
Raymont joined Sale in 2022 and signed his first Senior Academy contract ahead of
the 2023/24 season.
The prop has played for England at U18 and U19 level, before playing for England U20
against Cambridge and Bath United in January 2025. He also recently made his
Premiership debut for Sale against Bath Rugby and was named in Mark Mapletoft's
squad for the 2025 U20 Six Nations.
FUN FACTS: Tye’s rugby idol is Manu Tuilagi, and his favourite music artist is Bruno
Mars. Away from the rugby pitch, he enjoys playing padel and helps with looking after
the snakes that his family own.
