Police Officer - Atonio started playing rugby at Rosehill College in the South of Auckland. In her high
school years Atonio’s rugby flourished and quickly found herself selected in the Counties-Manukau High
School 15s and 10s teams. The 10s team were Regional Champions, a team captained by Atonio. Fresh
out of school, Atonio was straight into playing club Premier rugby with Manurewa for a season. This was
followed with three seasons with Ardmore Marist and stints with Taranaki Coastal, Pukekohe and now
Papatoetoe. Atonio has been a regular selection in recent times for Samoa, a consistent performer with
strong carrying abilities.
