EPCR Challenge Cup pool draw - how it works

Before we get underway with the Investec Champions Cup draw, attention turns to the EPCR Challenge Cup.

With 18 clubs having been confirmed for the 2025/26 campaign (eight from the URC, six from the TOP 14, two from the Premiership and two invited sides - Black Lion and Toyota Cheetahs), the clubs will be drawn into three pools of six.

There will be no ‘Tier’ system as is the way with the Investec Champions Cup, with the first club drawn from the drum being placed in Pool 1, the second club in Pool 2, and so on.
