Quins make seven changes for Sharks week

Harlequins have made seven changes to the starting XV that will travel north to take on Sale Sharks in Round 3 of the Gallagher PREM on Sunday (11 October, KO 15:00 - live on HBO Max).

Marcus Smith returns to the starting lineup for Sunday's contest at the Corpacq Stadium after missing the opening two rounds of the Gallagher PREM with a finger injury. Smith is partnered with Will Porter in the halfbacks.

Elsewhere in the backline, Luke Northmore starts in the outside centre channel for his first appearance since early May 2026. The centurion will be paired with Bryn Bradley in the centres for the trip to the North West.

Tyrone Green comes back into the starting XV on the right wing as part of a backfield that includes skipper Cadan Murley on the left and George Furbank at fullback.

Two changes have been made to the front row with Sam Riley starting at hooker against the Sharks. Will Hobson packs down at loosehead, while Simon Kerrod starts on the tighthead side.

Kieran Treadwell is another of the changes as the Ireland international returns to the row to partner James Dun in the engine room.

Seb Driscoll returns from a shoulder injury sustained in the opening PREM Rugby Cup fixture of the season to start on the openside. Jack Kenningham continues on the blindside, while Chandler Cunningham-South will start from the base of the scrum at number eight.

Jason Gilmore has opted for a five-three split with his impact players. Harry Johnson-Holmes and Ollie Streeter come into the wider matchday squad as loosehead and tighthead cover, with Jack Walker named as replacement hooker.

Guido Petti Pagadizábal continues to provide experience when introduced, while Lucas Schmid is in-line to make his second Gallagher PREM appearance.

Lucas Friday continues his role as an impact player against the Sharks and the squad is completed by Oscar Beard and Rodrigo Isgró, who provide further cover to the Quins backline.
