Chiefs to deploy Retallick against Moana Pasifika

The Chiefs are expected to receive a massive boost in the engine room for their clash against Fijian Drua on Saturday with the news that All Black lock Brodie Retallick is once again ready for action after spending the past two months on the sidelines with a thumb injury.

However, as pleased as the Chiefs will be to welcome back the 2.04m, 121kg bruiser, they are expected to take the field without the services of flanker and captain Sam Cane who has reportedly picked up a knee injury.

“Brodie’s back. He’s starting. Sam is positive but not quite ready,” McMillan told Stuff.

“The other locks have done a great job in Brodie’s absence, but he brings a high level of experience. It’s a good boost at this time of year.”

Reatallick’s form will be keenly observed by Ian Foster and co. as the much-anticipated series with Ireland drwas near, as well as The Rugby Championship.
