New Super Rugby franchise Moana Pasifika has confirmed that Wallaby playmaker Christian Lealiifano will turn out in their colours next year.
The 34 year-old will be a valuable addition to the new side as they attempt to find their feet in the tough competition.
Lealiifano has done great service for the Brumbies and Wallabies in the past and his remarkable strength of character was exhibited a few years ago when he managed to overcome leukemia to return to the rugby pitch. He has also plied his trade with Ulster in the Pro 14, as well as with Toyota Shokki Shuttles.
He is excited for his new journey.
"As someone who was raised a proud Samoan, there is massive appeal in playing for a team that celebrates my heritage and my culture," he said.
"I have been blessed with so many amazing opportunities over the course of my rugby career, that I feel I can give back to a special community that has always supported me regardless of what colour jersey I was wearing."
